Another busy week here in my Herefordshire studio. Orders and commissions are being finished while new pieces are being created ready for my next show, Contemporary Craft Festival, Bovey Tracey, Devon, in just a few weeks.
There is so much to inspire me at the moment while out and about. When I walk the dog I always enjoy photographing things that catch my eye. The action of looking and recording really helps focus my mind. However, I do alway make sure at least half of the walk is just me and the dog, not recording; just taking in the scent of the fields and woodland, the feel of the land and the colours that are all around.
Two rings photographed togther, top is a four band 18ct gold ring with a row of beautiful bright sparkly diamonds - £3200 and the bottom ring is a beautiful pink sapphire two band ring - £2900
Early morning walk through the fields of mowing grass
Using the things I find while walking to inspire what I might make during the day in the studio.
Simple leaf inspired necklace in gold created to be worn and enjoyed.
Clover leaves with morning dew
New gold and silver leaf ring that I finished this week ready for The Contemporary Craft Festival in Devon, come along and say hello!
Close up detail of a dandelion seed head. We all imagine the perfect seed head, and they are beautiful, however over time they each take on their own unique formulation. I loved looking at each one and seeing how they loose their seeds.
I wondered this week while out walking the dog, which I preferred most; the fresh bright potential filled morning walk or the laid back reflective walk in the evening sunset. There was so answer, I love both.
